Billy Aaron Phillips, age 83, died on Monday, February 9, 2026. He was born in Alamance County on June 18, 1942 to Alma Rudd and Harvey Howard “Bud” Phillips. He was the beloved husband of Teresa Mays Phillips for 61 years.
He was a good Chrisitan man attending Bethel Baptist Church in Graham. He served as a Sargeant in the US Army Nation Guard for 6 years. Besides loving the Lord and his family, Billy loved deer hunting, having killed many over the years.
He is survived by his wife; his son, Neal (Kat) Phillips of Eugene, Oregon and his daughter, Lynn (Fred) Melchor of Snow Camp; granddaughter, Brie; 2 sisters, Carolyn Lachapelle and Lou Ann Shoat.
At his request there will be no funeral services, visitation or graveside rites.
He was a proud son and lover of the South!
