Billy Wayne Reeves

Billy Wayne Reeves, age 94 of Tyler, Texas, passed away on Monday, March 2, 2026, in Tyler. He was born February 19, 1932, in Tyler to the late Claude Greene and Jewel (Wade) Reeves. Billy was a longtime resident of Tyler where he was a member of New Harmony Baptist Church and was previously a longtime resident of Dallas where he was a member of Vickery Baptist Church. He retired as Assistant Vice president of the Collection's Department at Bank of America in Dallas. In the 1960's Billy also served as Deputy Constable of Dallas County. In his spare time Billy enjoyed growing roses and spending time with his beloved family. He was preceded in death by his wife, Marcia Janelle Reeves; brothers, Johnny and C.W. Reeves; and sisters, Martha Reeves Betts and Annie Ruth Reeves Mayhall.

He is survived by his son, Steve Reeves of Tyler; brothers, Sidney Reeves and wife, Eva of Virginia and Kenneth Reeves and wife, Cindy of Tyler; sister, Shirley Westberry of Tyler; and numerous grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces, nephews, and other loving family members and friends.

A private interment will be held at New Harmony Cemetery in Tyler.
