Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. Tuesday, March 21, 2023 in the Chapel of Memorial Park Funeral Home. Rev. David Chapman and Rev. Grady Saxon will officiate. Interment will be in Bethany Christian Church in Homer, GA. The family will receive friends at Memorial Park Funeral on Monday, March 20th from 4:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m.
Born on November 5, 1952 in Lula, he was the son of the late Eugene Benjamin and Bernice Savage Shockley. Mr. Shockley was retired from the construction industry where he worked for Lunsford Grading. Mr. Shockley was a member of Bethany Christian Church in Homer, GA.
In addition to his parents, Mr. Shockley was preceded in death by his daughter, Billie Regina Shockley and granddaughter, Alexis Brianna Shockley.
Mr. Shockley is survived by his daughter and son in law, Christie Watson and Chris Flanagan of Flowery Branch; son and daughter in law, Shaun Shockley and Brenda Mitchell of Maysville; daughter and son in law, Michelle and Jamie Vaughan of Lula; seven grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; sisters, Tina Withrow (Brian) of Lula, Sheila Lustig (Steve) of AL; brothers, Jeffrey Shockley of Lula, Frankie Shockley of Maysville; special sister in law, Diane Shockley; special caregivers, Kelley (Doc) Lafaver, Jessica Best and a number of other loving relatives.
Memorial Park Funeral Home, 2030 Memorial Park Road, Gainesville, GA 30504 is in charge of arrangements.
