Billy was born October 11, 1941, in Abbeville, Alabama. He passed away on March 10, 2026, after a long battle with cancer. At the time of his passing, he was surrounded by his family. Billy was proceeded in death by his parents Royce and Lois Singletary, Mary Elaine and his brother Ronald Singletary.
He is survived by his wife Susie Barlow Singletary, his daughter Kathleen Barahona (husband-Norman), son Damien, grandchildren Alyssa Flowers, Joshua and Sierra Barahona. His Brother Louis (wife- Helen) Singletary, Nephews William Singletary (Wife-Danielle), Phillip Singletary (wife-Ashly), Nieces Stephanie Singletary and Lauren Singletary
Billy graduated from Semmes High School in 1960. After his graduation he enlisted in the Army. He was stationed with the 2nd Armored Division, serving both in the United States and overseas locations. after serving 3 years he was honorably discharged. After completion of his enlistment, he joined Union Local 119, working as a Welder/Pipefitter until his retirement.
His services will be conducted on Monday March 16th at Mobile Memorial Garden Funeral Home with visitation held at 11:00 A.M. The Funeral services will start at 12:00 with the internment afterwards at Mobile Memorial Gardens.
Billy is a member of West Mobile Baptist Church and his family request in lieu of flowers that donations be given to the church or your favorite charity.
