Billy Ray Spencley

Billy Ray Spencley, age 62, a resident of Manitowoc, passed away on Wednesday, February 8, 2023 at his home with his dogs by his side.
Billy Ray was born on June 9, 1960 in Cullman, AL to Gail Marie Hanna and the late Russell Spencley. After graduating from high school in San Diego, CA in 1977, he went on to enlist in the United States Navy. There, he worked as an aircraft mechanic for Squadron VF211. He served his country until his honorable discharge. Billy Ray was a certified Journeyman Pipe Fitter, Millwright, and Welder. He was the owner and operator of Manitowoc Towing and Recovery LLC. He excelled at professional powerlifting in which he received numerous awards. Billy Ray was an excellent cook and loved BBQ.
Survivors include Billy Ray's two sons, Brandon (Caty) Spencley and Matthew (Sydnie) Spencley; two daughters, Shelby (Nick) Westerhausen and Stacy (Max) Brandt; seven grandchildren, Aiden, Raiden, Joseph, Brandon Jr., Mathew, Max Jr., and Danyelle; mother, Gail Hanna; brother, John Ford; also other relatives and friends. Billy Ray was preceded in death by his sister, Deborah Ford.
A celebration of Billy Ray's life will be held from 1 p.m. to 5 p.m. on Saturday, February 25, 2023 at the Newton Town Hall, 6524 Carstens Lake Road, Newton, WI.
