Ronald Muench Obituary

Obituary published on Legacy.com by Harrigan Parkside Funeral Home and Crematory - Manitowoc on Mar. 18, 2026.
Ronald B. Muench, age 77, a Manitowoc resident, passed away Tuesday, March 17, 2026 at Aurora Medical Center, Sheboygan.

He was born June 19, 1948 in Manitowoc, son of the late Bernard and Lydia (Franzen) Muench. Ron attended Reedsville High School, graduating with the class of 1967. Following high school, he attended Lakeshore Technical College. On August 11, 1978 Ron married Marilyn L. Becker at St. Joseph Catholic Church, Kellnersville. She preceded him in death on March 23, 2024.

Ron was a caring, self-less individual. His love for people and life was immeasurable. Ron was passionate about his family, his friends, his work and his home. Friends and neighbors could always find him taking care of the yard, planting flowers, mowing grass or just saying "hi" to people as they walked past. And when he wasn't at home, he was serving sandwiches at Kwik Trip, working at the rec department for Music in the Park or an attendant for special events, and assisting individuals at Peter's Pantry. Ron was a devoted Catholic attending St. Francis of Assisi regularly. Ron touched many lives. It's hard to find anyone that can't say he brightened their day, made them laugh or offered his support. Ron's love will eternally shine within all who knew him.

Ron is survived by his son: Derek Muench, Sheboygan; daughter and son-in-law: Lesley (Skyler) Teigen, Lake Elmo, MN; grandson: Huck Julian Teigen; as well as many cousins, other relatives and many friends. He was preceded in death by his wife Marilyn; parents: Bernard and Lydia Muench; sister-in-law: Nancy Lemberger; and father-in-law and mother-in-law: Theodore and Irene Becker. He is further survived by his loving cat, Trixie (Nubbins) and his grand puppy, Albert.

Cremation has occurred at the Harrigan Parkside Crematory, Manitowoc, and a memorial service will be held at 11:30 a.m. on Monday, March 23, 2026 at the Harrigan Parkside Funeral Home, 628 N. Water Street, Manitowoc. Following the service, a luncheon for family and friends will be held at the Harrigan Parkside Gathering Center located on the southside property of the Harrigan Parkside Funeral Home. Ron will be laid to rest at Evergreen Cemetery at a later date.

The family will greet relatives and friends from 9:30 a.m. until the time of the service at 11:30 a.m. on Monday, March 23, 2026 at the Harrigan Parkside Funeral Home, Manitowoc.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Ron's name to Peter's Pantry, 843 S. 21st Street, Manitowoc, WI 54220, or online at https://peterspantry.org/help-us/#donate.
