The family of Billy Steffens will gather to recite the Holy Rosary at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday, November 10, 2021, at Lake Ridge Chapel and Memorial Designers. Mass will be celebrated in honor of Billy's life of 84 years at 10:00 a.m. on Thursday, November 11, 2021, at Holy Spirit Catholic Church in Lubbock, Texas. He passed on Tuesday, November 8, 2021. Billy Paul Steffens of Lubbock, TX passed away at home on November 8, 2021. Billy was born at home in Slaton, TX on January 24, 1937, to Joseph Edward Steffens and Regina Cecilia Dworaczyk Steffens. He graduated from Levelland High School in 1955. He attended Texas Tech University and took Art classes at South Plains College. He proudly served his country in the US Army's National Guard. He attended St Michael's Catholic Church in Levelland and was a member of the Knights of Columbus. During his working career, he worked for the ASCS office, Wilbert Burial Vault Co, and Attebury Grain.

Billy is survived by two sons: Joe and Tracie Steffens of Broken Arrow, OK and Rick Steffens of Lubbock, TX; five grandchildren: Tori Steffens, Tyler Steffens, Kara, and Wray Borland, Cole and Tara Steffens, and Kristen Steffens; five great-grandchildren: Hannah Phillips, Caitlin Steffens, Aiden Steffens, Ada Borland, and Dylan Borland; three sisters: Irene and Bill Allen of New Deal, Dorothy and Foy Hargrove of Lubbock, and Sharon and Earl Bush of Lubbock & several nieces and nephews.

Preceding Billy in death were his parents: Joe and Regina Steffens; a daughter: Carrie Ann Steffens and one sister: Betty Jo Perryman.
