Alison Steffens Obituary

Published by Legacy on Dec. 31, 2025.
Alison "Ally" Steffens of Lawrence Township, NJ, and formerly of Holland, PA, left us far too soon on Thursday, December 25, 2025. She was 60 years young.

Born in Philadelphia, PA, Ally was the beloved daughter of the late Anthony J. DiBianca, Jr. and the late Janice DiBianca (née Kowalchuk), and the cherished sister of the late Anthony DiBianca.

Gone from our touch but never from our hearts, Ally was one of the most wonderful, caring, hilarious, and truly unforgettable people this world has ever known. She lived her life to the absolute fullest, celebrating every single day-and every single person she encountered-with an abundance of love, laughter, and unmistakable energy. Ally didn't just enter a room; she lit it up. Her spirit was always high, her presence magnetic, and her laughter-loud, plentiful, and entirely contagious.

Outgoing, effervescent, and the undeniable life of every party, Ally was creativity and joy wrapped into a 4-foot-11-inch force of nature whose love was far bigger than her stature. She loved to dance-no, she love love loved to dance-and did so with reckless joy and abandon. She danced with her whole heart, and fittingly, danced until her very last breath.

Ally was hysterically funny, her comedy knowing no bounds. She could tell a joke like no other and often laughed so hard at herself that the punchline barely had time to land. When Ally laughed, it came from her toes, and once it started, there was no stopping it. Her laughter will continue to echo through every gathering, every story retold, and every moment where joy takes center stage-just as she always did.

One of Ally's greatest joys was time spent at her beloved mountain home in upstate Pennsylvania, affectionately known as the "Fritz Carlton." There, she felt truly grounded and at peace, deeply rooted in nature. She never tired of spotting black bears wandering through the backyard and took great pride (and pleasure) in constantly decorating, reorganizing, and cozying up the space to make it welcoming for everyone she loved. It was her sanctuary, and it showed.

Ally also had a legendary talent for thrifting-perhaps the only person who could walk into a store and, within seconds, uncover the most treasured and perfect find. This same intuition, warmth, and creativity defined her professional life. A devoted and talented realtor with Coldwell Banker Hearthside in Newtown, PA, Ally spent more than a decade in the real estate industry. She didn't simply sell homes; she became part of her clients' stories, walking beside them through life's meaningful milestones with care, honesty, and heart. For Ally, real estate was never just a profession-it was a relationship, built on trust, laughter, and genuine connection.

Most recently, Ally was employed at Mercer Street Friends in Ewing, NJ, where her steadfast commitment to the food bank, its volunteers, and the community it served knew no bounds. Just one week prior to her passing, Ally proudly received a promotion-an honor that reflected her tireless dedication, compassion, and the impact she made on countless lives.

Above all else, Ally was fiercely devoted to her family. She raised three remarkable children, of whom she was endlessly proud, and found her greatest joy in being "TuTu" to her two beautiful granddaughters, who were truly the light of her life. She was also blessed with an extraordinary sisterhood-a tribe of women like none other-whose bond, love, and laughter sustained her and brought her immeasurable happiness.

Ally is survived by her three loving and devoted children: David Steffens of Pennington, NJ; John "Jack" Steffens (Andrea) of Philadelphia, PA; and Alexandra "Lexie" Steffens of Lawrence Township, NJ; her cherished granddaughters, Jack's daughters, Adelyn and Evelyn; her loving sister, Tara DiBianca of Hamilton, NJ; and countless extended family members and friends who loved her deeply and will miss her beyond words.

The interment will take place privately.

In lieu of flowers, honor Ally by paying forward a kindness to someone else-bonus points if it involves laughter, dancing, or leaving a room happier than you found it.

Ally's legacy lives on in the laughter she sparked, the love she gave so freely, and the joy she brought into every life she touched. To Ally-the one who made laughter a daily routine, danced through life with abandon, loved without limits, and will forever be remembered as the woman who made everything brighter simply by being herself.
