Barbara Kessler

Barbara Gutekunst Kessler, of Lansdale, PA passed away on Monday, March 2, 2026, at Gwynedd Rehab & Rehabilitation Center. She was 96.

She was the beloved wife to the late Jacob M. Kessler, and a devoted mother to her two sons, Jacob and Joseph.

She was born in Romania, and was the daughter of the late John Gutekunst and Margaretha Muller Gutekunst.

Barbara led a full life as she enjoyed entertaining her many friends and family. She was a great storyteller, and she enjoyed sharing her story of her childhood in Romania. She also shared interesting facts of her move with her family to the United States during her early years.

Barbara is survived by her sons, Joseph Kessler and his wife Peggy of Harleysville and Jacob Kessler Jr. and his wife Sheila of Warminster, along with a brother, John Gutekunst and his wife, Eileen, of Philadelphia. She is also survived by her five grandchildren Jacob M. Kessler and wife Meredith, Erich J. Kessler and wife Michelle, Pamela A. Sauter and husband Michael, Joseph R. Kessler, Ryan A. Kessler, and Connor J. Kessler and her five great-grandchildren, Mikayla Kessler, Jacob M. Kessler IV, Kourtney Kessler, Erich J. Kessler Jr., and Camryn Sauter.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend her visitation Monday, March 9, 2026 from 9:30 - 10:30am at the Joseph Fluehr Funeral Home, 800 Newtown Richboro Rd. Richboro, PA 18954, with a Funeral Service immediately following at 10:30am. Interment will be held at Forest Hills Cemetery in Huntingdon Valley.
