     Anthony W. (Tony) Kessler, age 80, of Linesville, Pennsylvania, passed away on February 27, 2026, at Andover Village Skilled Nursing and Rehabilitation in Andover, Ohio.

     He was born in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, December 9, 1945, the son of the late Joseph W. and Rosella Kessler.

     Tony worked for the Diocese of Pittsburgh for over 40 years, retiring February 2, 2012. Over the years, he was dedicated to various bishops and clergy at the bishop’s residences in Oakland, Pennsylvania.

     He enjoyed playing cards such as kings in the corner, cribbage and bingo.

     He is survived by his sister, Elizabeth (Betty) Rosenberger, and her husband, John, of Mt. Clare, West Virginia; sisters-in-law, Lorraine Kessler, Althea Kessler and Ruth Kessler; many nieces and nephews and very supportive close friends, Patty Mehalik, Sue Jones, Marian Shoemaker and Gretchen Gibbs.

     In addition to his parents, Tony was preceded in death by his companion, Ray Garrity; two sisters, Theresa Crawford and Sr. Zita; and four brothers, Joseph, Edmund, Nicholaus, and William Kessler.

     Tony was a proud U.S. Army veteran.

     Private arrangements are under the care of Royal-Coleman Funeral Home, 6028 U.S. Highway 6, Linesville.

     A celebration of Tony’s life will be held at a later date.
