Billy David Stephenson

Billy David "Steve" Stephenson, age 69, of Flat Rock, Alabama, passed away at his home on Wednesday, April 30, 2025.

A funeral service will be held at 2:00 PM ET on Friday, May 2, 2025 at the Bryant Chapel of Moore Funeral Home with Jimmy Hixson and Scott Gudger. Following the service, Steve will be laid to rest at Oak Lawn Memorial Park in Bryant. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 11:00 AM ET until the service hour.

Steve was born on November 23, 1955 to Billy Edward Stephenson and Laverne Dobbins Stephenson and has resided in the Flat Rock community for several years.

Steve is preceded in death by his father, Billy Edward Stephenson. He is survived by his daughter, Brandie (Dale) Hamlen; his mother, Laverne Stephenson; and granddaughter, Kaylen Hamlen.

Steve was a hard worker and loved his family dearly. He enjoyed the outdoors working on his farm, taking care of his cows and his dog. He also enjoyed working in his shop, where he built trailers and repaired his tractors. 

Steve's legacy will continue to live on in the hearts of his family and all who had the pleasure of knowing him.
