Tim Smith

Timothy Dalton “Tim” Smith, age 55, of Bryant, Alabama, passed away peacefully at his home on March 5, 2026.

Tim was a loving father, grandfather, brother, and friend who cared deeply for his family. His grandchildren held a special place in his heart, and he cherished the time he spent visiting with them. Known for his helpful nature, Tim worked as a contractor and handyman and was often the first person family and friends called when they needed help with a project. He took pride in lending a hand and was always willing to help others however he could. Tim was a kind and gentle man who enjoyed listening to country music and indulging in a late-night snack from time to time.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Dalton and Jewell Smith; his brother, Scottie Smith; and his grandparents, Doyle and Mary Moore.

Tim is survived by his children, Cody (Amber) Smith, Emily (Brandon) McDowell, and Olivia Smith; his sisters, Angela Welden and Melody (James) Willmon; and his beloved grandchildren, Savannah, Kayde, Cayston, and Forrest Smith; Braydon, Elijah, and Avery McDowell; and Conner Smith. He is also survived by several nieces, nephews, and extended family members who will cherish his memory.

A graveside service will be held on Sunday, March 8, 2026, at 1:00 PM ET at Higdon Cemetery.

Tim will be dearly missed by all who knew him.
