Billy Ray Thrasher, 58, of Brookwood, Alabama, passed away on October 12, 2025. Billy was known for his vibrant personality and his love for life. He found joy in playing pool, spending time outdoors hunting, and cheering passionately for Alabama Football. His enthusiasm for the Crimson Tide was infectious, and he was always ready to share his team spirit with family and friends.
Billy was preceded in death by his beloved parents, Roy and Marie Thrasher, whose memory he cherished deeply. He leaves behind a loving family: his son, Landon Williams; daughter, Jorgia Thrasher; and bonus son, Jason Johnson (Jessica), each of whom he was immensely proud of. Billy’s sisters, Angela Lashley (Jeff) and Ashley Thrasher (Allen). He was uncle to Autumn Lunsford (Chris) and Roy Allen Davis, and a great-uncle to Abigail Lunsford. Billy’s circle of love extended beyond immediate family, including many other relatives and friends who will miss him dearly.
The family will receive friends on Saturday, October 18, 2025, at Patterson Forest Grove Funeral Home from 5:00 PM until the start of the service. A memorial service celebrating Billy’s life will begin at 6:00 PM, officiated by Bro. Rodney Parker. Billy’s memory will live on in the hearts of those who loved him, and his spirit will be remembered every time the pool balls break, the hunting season begins, or the Crimson Tide takes the field.
