Billy Gene White, 92, passed away September 15, 2025 at deGreef Hospice House in St. Louis.

Born March 20, 1933 in Hardin, he was the son of John Ned and Mary Ann (Barton) White.

A U.S. Army and National Guardsman, he served during the Korean War. In 1957 he went to work for the Shell Oil Company until retiring in 1989. Bill continued in the oil industry working in Saudi Arabia, seven countries and 12 states be retiring once again.

On August 19, 1993 in Las Vegas, he married Ruth Schmidt. She survives.

Surviving also are two sons, John (Karen) White in North Carolina, Todd (Shari) White of East Alton; four daughters, Nancy Berry of Englewood, CA, Lynda (David) Vandiver of East Alton, Karen White of Wood River, Molly Forte of Sarasota, FL; three step-sons, Jim Tucker and John Tucker of Colorado Springs, CO, Glenn Bujeweski of Wildwood, MO; two step-daughters, Carol Bujewski of Wildwood, MO, Robin Tucker of Colorado Springs; 14 grandchildren; and 10 great grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents and a brother, Donald L. Friedenburg.

Cremation rites were accorded.

Graveside services with military honors will be in Jefferson Barracks National Cemetery at 10:30 am, Tuesday, September 23.
