Billy Edwin Williams

Billy Edwin Williams, age 65, of Springville, VA, passed away at his home on Wednesday, January 21, 2026. Born December 12, 1960, in Bluefield, WV, he was the son of the late Ralph and Elizabeth Steele and Willie Williams.

Billy is survived by his loving children, Crystal Richard, Samantha Sharkey, Kimberly Williams, and Jasmine Williams, and by his nephew, Nicholas Thompson, whom he loved as a son. He is also survived by his cherished grandchildren, Ava and Hudson Richard, who will miss their “Papa” dearly, as well as his three sons-in-law, Joshua Richard, Ryan Sharkey, and Sergey Solodyankin. Billy leaves behind his brother and best friend, Johnny Williams; his sisters, Kitty Nunn and Debbie Morrison; many beloved nieces and nephews; and his dear friend, Loretta Baldwin.

Beyond his fierce love for his family and deep-rooted faith in God, Billy had a true passion for music. A talented guitar player and singer, he could often be found lifting his voice in church on Sunday mornings or jamming with friends and family at weekend cookouts. Many will remember Billy through the music he shared so freely.

His passing has left a profound void in the hearts of his family, friends, and all who were fortunate enough to know him.

A Celebration of Life service honoring Billy Edwin Williams will be held on Friday, January 30, 2026, at 6:00 PM at Destiny Outreach Ministries, a place where he found comfort, faith, and community for many years.
