Blaine P. Traphagan, 91, of Erie, passed away Thursday, November 13, 2025. He was born in Erie, on February 13, 1934, a son of the late Emory and Hazel Yost Traphagan.
Blaine graduated from Academy High School and went on to serve in the United States Air Force. He worked as produce manager for Super Duper and A&P Markets. Blaine was a member of Summit United Methodist Church, Erie Philharmonic Chorus, and Erie Symphonic Singers.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded by his brother, Wayne E. Traphagan; and his sisters, Charlotte Kolesar and Maxine Shreve.
Survivors include his four nieces and nephews, Eric Kolesar, Paul Kolesar, Thomas Shreve (Bonnie), and Susan Ploss (Dale); and his close friend, Mike Bianco.
The family would like to thank the LECOM VNA Hospice team, especially Amy and Scott, for all their care they gave Blaine.
Funeral arrangements were made by the Russell C. Schmidt & Son Funeral Home, Inc. 5000 Wattsburg Rd. Services are private and at the convenience of the family.
