EUNICE ~ The family of Blaine Vidrine announces his passing on Monday, June 9, 2025, at his home at the age of 71. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 11:00 am on Thursday, June 12, 2025, at Ardoin's Funeral Home Chapel in Eunice.  Burial will follow in the Mt. Calvary Cemetery with Deacon Chuck Ortego, officiating.

Blaine was born on September 15, 1953, to the late Numa and Odile Hidalgo Vidrine. He dedicated twenty-eight years to his career at RoyOMartin and was a member of the Chataignier Point Blue Water Board. He enjoyed gardening, fishing, and watching LSU sports. Most of all, he loved spending time with his great-nieces and nephews and visiting old friends.

We have lost a beloved husband, brother, uncle, and most importantly, a friend to all. He will be missed dearly by all who knew and loved him especially his loving wife of fifty years, Debbie Johnson Vidrine of Chataignier; his brothers, Blake Vidrine and wife, Adrianne of Crowley, Kenny Paul Vidrine and wife, Joan of Duralde, and Malcolm Vidrine and wife, Gail of Eunice; his nieces and nephews, Jeremy Johnson, Heather Vidrine Fontenot, Brittany Johnson Vidrine, and Bailey Johnson; great nieces and nephew, Averie Johnson, Amelie Vidrine, Annalise Vidrine, and Jon Curtis Vidrine; brother in law, Markel Johnson of Ville Platte; as well as extended family and friends.

Blaine is preceded in death by his parents, brother, Patrick Vidrine; In-laws, Curtis and Mae Mae Johnson; and brother-in-law, Todd Johnson.

At the request of the family, a visitation will be held at Ardoin’s Funeral Home in Eunice on Wednesday, June 11th, from 12:00 pm until 9:00 pm and again on Thursday, June 12th, from 8:00 am until the time of services. Deacon Chuck Ortego will pray a Rosary at 6:30 pm on Wednesday.
