Blake Phillips Obituary

Blake Matthew Phillips, 23, of Bellefontaine, passed away Monday, February 26, 2024.

Blake was born in Bellefontaine on October 11, 2000, and is survived by his parents, Brody and Kelli (Harmon) Phillips, of Bellefontaine; brothers: Drew Phillips and Mason Phillips; grandparents: David and Peggy Phillips of Bellefontaine, and Chad and Terri Pulfer of Lewistown; great-grandmother Jeannine Elleman of Bellefontaine; and several aunts, uncles, and cousins.  

Blake was preceded in death by great-grandparents: Brian and Mary Ann Downing, Dale Elleman, Jr., and Richard and Dorothy Phillips.

Blake was a 2019 graduate of Bellefontaine High School where he was a member of the swim team, theater and drama clubs, National Honor Society, and OMUN.  He attended Ohio Wesleyan University and was a member of the swim team his freshman year, and Alpha Sigma Phi fraternity.  He graduated with a bachelor’s degree from Franklin University.  Blake loved his dogs, Marley and Murphy.

Visitation for Blake will be held on Friday, March 1, 2024, from noon – 2pm at the Eichholtz Daring & Sanford Funeral Home & Cremation Center, Bellefontaine.  A private burial will take place in Bellefontaine Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Logan / Champaign Counties Suicide Prevention Coalition, P.O. Box 765, West Liberty, OH 43357.
