Frederick Michael McCafferty Jr.

Frederick M. McCafferty, Jr., 55, of Belle Center, OH, passed away unexpectedly, early Monday morning, February 16, 2026, at his home.

Frederick was born on March 27, 1970, in Bellefontaine, OH, a son of the late Frederick M. McCafferty, Sr., and Vicki (Grant) McCafferty, who survives in rural Belle Center. He is preceded in death by a brother, Michael.

Fred is survived by two sons, Patric McCafferty, and Tyler (Amber) McCafferty of Kenton, OH, six grandchildren, Adalya, Paige, Lilith, Elizabeth, Alyssa, and Cassadee, and a brother, Robert McCafferty of Belle Center.

Fred was a 1987 graduate of Ben Logan High School. He was a concrete mason by trade. Fred enjoyed listening to Rock & Roll, playing guitar, working on his cars, and collecting model trains and studying locomotives. He loved spending time with his children and grandchildren.

Funeral services will begin at 2:00 pm, Monday, February 23, 2026, at Shoffstall Funeral Home, 205 S. Main St, Lakeview with visitation from 12-2 pm. Burial is in Walnut Hill Cemetery, New Hampshire, OH.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contribution may be given to his family c/o Shoffstall Funeral Home.
