Blanche Eileen Greener, 93, passed away on September 30, 2025.
Blanche was born on June 10, 1932, the youngest child of Anton and Teresa Bozich. She grew up in Beaverton and graduated from Beaverton Elementary School after completing the 8th grade.
On January 12, 1951, Blanche married Alvin Greener in Vancouver, Washington. Together they built a life on the family farm, where they grew strawberries, prunes, and Christmas trees. Over the years, Blanche also worked several part-time jobs, including a few years at J&R Eakin Nursery. She had a lifelong love of plants, especially the roses she tended in her yard.
Blanche and Alvin shared many adventures with family and friends, enjoying hunting, fishing, camping, and traveling south in their motorhome during the winters. Blanche also loved playing pinochle, going to auctions, and visiting with neighbors. She was an avid collector of oil lamps, nutcracker figurines, typewriters, and John Wayne memorabilia. In recent years, she found joy in reading, word searches, and jigsaw puzzles.
After Alvin's passing on July 25, 2019, Blanche moved in with her daughter, where she continued to be surrounded by family and love.
Blanche is survived by her daughter, Teresa (Jim) Eakin; her son, Tony (Judy) Greener; granddaughters, Eileen (Travis) Dent and Jamie (Keith) Urwin; and great-grandchildren, Thomas Dent and Hannah Dent.
