What a true gift it was to call Blanche my friend and coworker. She was such a delight to teach with and I have such fond appreciation for her kindness and friendship. My deepest condolences to her beautiful family.

Blanche and I taught at De Zavala Elementary. We were in the same unit. We, along with Sandra Brown, Karen Voss and the others in our unit taught 3rd grade for years. We had a bond and together we taught countless students. After her retirement we would see each other at HEB and pick up where we left off talking about things and people we had in common. She was a true friend, a wonderful teacher and a lovely human being. I will miss her smile. May she rest in peace.
