Sandra "Sandy" McMullen, 83, of Alliance passed away Saturday, March 7th at Louisville Gardens. Born on June 22, 1942 in Dennison, a daughter of the late David and Rachel (Mathews) Lauer. Besides her parents she is preceded in death by her daughter Melissa Baumgardner and brother David Lauer. Sandy was an exceptional quilter and found great joy in the art of quilting. With patience, skill, and care, she created beautiful pieces that warmed not only homes but also hearts. Each quilt she made carried a piece of her spirit and generosity. She is already deeply missed and will always be remembered with love. Survived by loving husband of almost 56 years Daniel McMullen; son Rick (Stephanie) Mark; 2 grandchildren Daniel J. (Kristin) McMullen, Tabitha D (Shawn) Holzworth; 2 great granddaughters Adeliene Ray and Gracey Ann as well as many other family members and friends. No services will be held at this time.
