In Loving Memory of Bo Chun Chow Leung
November 6, 1935 – July 4, 2025
Bo Chun Chow Leung, 89, of San Francisco, California, passed away peacefully, in her sleep, on July 4, 2025 after a long and courageous journey living with Parkinson's Disease.
A devoted wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister, and friend, Bo Chun lived a life defined by warmth, strength, and selfless love. She is survived by her beloved husband of 67 years, Lin Fai Leung, with whom she built a beautiful life and family.
She will be dearly missed by her children: Debbie Tang-Quan (Kenneth), Dennis Hanley (né Leung), and Dan Leung (Li "Ko" Kong), and son-in-law Tony Chow; and remembered with deep affection by her grandchildren: Sharon Su (Tim), Justin Chow, Karis Ong (Nik), Samantha Chow, David Tang-Quan, Jonathan Chow, Isaac Hanley (Brittany Cheung), Brian Hanley, and Christian Hanley. Bo Chun was also the proud great-grandmother of Elizabeth and Zoe Su, and Dominik, Karson, and Natalyn Ong.
She is survived by her cherished siblings: Steve Chow (Susan), Victor Jew (Jackie Stoll), Vivian Jew, and Nancy Yamaguchi (Paul, predeceased). She was a loving aunt to many nieces and nephews, including Betty Liang (Jason), and a joyful presence in the lives of her grandnieces, Stephanie and Sabrina.
Bo Chun was preceded in death by her beloved daughter Sandy Chow; her parents, Joe Thet and Jung Shee Jew; and her sisters Brenda Lee and Jadine Owyang (Norman, predeceased).
Bo Chun's legacy is one of generosity, quiet resilience, and deep devotion to family. Her gentle guidance, thoughtful wisdom, and unfailing kindness touched all who knew her. She leaves behind a legacy of love that will live on through the many lives she shaped and nurtured.
Her memory will forever be a blessing to those who had the privilege of knowing her.
