Bo Evans Obituary

Obituary published on Legacy.com by Moments Funeral Home - Lucedale on Mar. 3, 2026.
Bo Evans, age 64, passed away February 27, 2026. A native of Tupelo, Bo was a proud 1979 graduate of Saltillo High School. Work later transplanted him and his family to George County, where he built a life filled with friendship, family, and the things he loved most.

Bo was a member of the Pharoahs Club and was active in Cruisin' The Coast, sharing his passion for classic cars and camaraderie with fellow enthusiasts. He loved drag racing, dirt bikes, and anything that let him go fast. He especially loved the beach and cherished every opportunity to spend time there.

Above all, Bo treasured time spent with his family. He was a devoted husband, a loving father, a proud pawpaw, and a loyal friend. His presence, laughter, and love will be deeply missed by all who knew him.

He is preceded in death by his grandson, Kayden Anderson; parents, Eugene Mayfield and Burma Grubbs Evans; siblings, Nell Murphy, Roy Evans, and Peggy Sansing; nephew, Todd Jeffries, brother-in-law, Tommy Higgins.

Those left to cherish his memory include his loving wife, Tammy Evans; children, Nathan Evans, Courtney Kelly, Demi Evans, and Tori Evans; grandchildren, MaKenzie Kelly, Joshua Colburn, II, Aaliyah Clayton, Kylee Kruse, Jace Partain, Dawson Lane Evans; great grandson, Hudson James Kelly; parents-in-law, Peggy and James Heidelberg; brother-in-law, Jon Higgins; special nieces, Krista (Bob) Churchwell and Pookie (Eddie) Davis; nephew, Scotty Jeffries; numerous other nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends.

The Visitation will be Friday, March 6, 2026 from 6:00 PM until 7:00 PM at Moments Funeral Home. The Funeral Service will begin at 7:00 PM in the funeral home chapel. Pallbearers include Paite Churchwell, Dillon Malone, Luke Davis, Dalton Davis, and Lexie Russell.
