Robert "Bob" Ray Denowski, 74, passed away on April 13th, 2025, at home in Crivitz, WI,
surrounded by his beloved wife, Linda, and family.
Born on March 16th, 1951, in Menominee, MI, to Andrew and Gladys Denowski, Bob was full of
energy from a young age-picking rocks and pickles, and savoring ice cream cones from
Lauerman's. After graduating from Peshtigo High School in 1969, he headed straight to
Milwaukee to begin work at Singer Controls Company apprenticing on Brown and Sharp Screw
Machines.
That same winter, Bob met Linda at a snowmobile race. They married on October 3rd, 1970,
and remained devoted partners throughout life. Together they raised two children, Andrew and
Julie.
Bob worked at Jacobson Implement repairing Oliver Tractors before purchasing farm land along
the Peshtigo River with Linda in 1979. They sold the property in 1991 and spent some time in
Portage, WI, until eventually later, they settled on their property in Crivitz. Bob later worked as
an independent dump truck driver before retiring in the summer of 2024.
Bob worked hard, always the first to arrive and the last to leave-never late and always
determined to be first. Over his 25 year trucking career, he logged 3 million miles-all in pursuit
of owning more tractors. Outside of work, he loved fishing the Wisconsin River and restoring
Oliver Tractors. Even in later years, he frequented auctions in search of rare collector Olivers.
His passion for these tractors was unmatched, turning every piece into a prized possession.
Bob is survived by his wife, Linda Denowski; his two children Andrew (Kristi) Denowski and Julie
(Kerry) Kilgora; 2 granddaughters Alexis (Crystal) Denowski and Alesha Denowski; 2 sisters
Virgina (Phil) Richter and Bonnie (Bob) Campshure; Brother Jim (Avis) Denowski and many,
many lifelong friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents Andrew and Gladys Denowski, his sister Bernice and
his brother Alfred.
Bob was a kind soul and so generous to a fault. The friends he made, he had for a life. Bob
gifted one of his good friends, Joe, an old school bell. Joe is going to hang it and landscape the
area in Bob's honor. Every time the bell rings, it will be for remembering Bob
There will be a short visitation held at Thielen Funeral Home on Sunday April 27th, 2025 from
3pm to 5pm. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Kathy's House in
Milwaukee, WI, a nonprofit affiliated with Froedtert Hospital.
