Danny L Couillard

Danny L. Couillard, 53, of Marinette passed away on Monday, February 9, 2026, at Aurora Medical Center-Bay Area. He was born on June 20, 1972, to the late Richard and Janet (Sobieski) Couillard in Marinette. He graduated from Marinette High School in 1990 and went on to NWTC. Danny worked for Sylvan for 10 years and was currently employed with Johnson Control just passing the 19 year mark. On March 11, 2004, Danny married Kelly Schmidt in Las Vegas. He enjoyed 4-wheeling, taking road trips, his yearly trip to Gatlinburg, sitting on his deck drinking coffee, watching NASCAR, and was a recently converted Packer fan.

Danny is survived by his wife of 21 years, Kelly Couillard of Marinette; son, Justin (Kaitlyn) Couillard of Peshtigo; step son, Ryan (S.O. Jessica) Doberstein of Marinette; brother, Dennis (Sheila) Couillard of Marinette; grandchildren: Stevie Lee, Mason, Jameson, and Jazlln; in laws, Bill and Phyllis Schmidt; brother in laws, Bob Schmidt and Steve Schmidt; and many nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his sisters, Marylou and Jodi.

A Celebration of Life will be held this summer. Thielen Funeral Home is assisting the family.
