Bob Siekierka 71, of Peru. Passed away peacefully May 1, 2025, in his home surrounded by his family, following a brief battle with cancer.
Memorial services will be 12:00 PM Saturday May 10, 2025, in Ptak Funeral Home. The Rev Gregory Jarzombek OSB will officiate. The La Salle-Oglesby Veteran's Memorial Group will conduct Military honors. Cremation rites have been accorded.
Memorial Visitation will be on Saturday in the funeral home from 10:00AM-12:00 PM. Ptak Funeral Home has been entrusted with the arrangements.
Bob was born October 15, 1953, in Peru to Lois (Derix) Siekierka. Robert served his country in the Marine Corp from 1972-1976. He was stationed in El Toro, CA. Robert retired from Caterpillar in Aurora. He then worked at PGI in Peru and then retired from Clean Getaway Car Wash in Peru. He also worked for Cedar Point Fireworks. He loved Eagles and collected Eagle memorabilia. Bob was an avid Chicago Bears and Cubs fan.
Bob is survived by his daughters Megan (Chad Wendelken) Siekierka of Peru and Becky (Mike) Ublish of Bloomington and his son Dustin (Tiffany) Siekierka of La Salle. 5 Grandchildren Kayli Ublish, Jenna Ublish, Braden Ublish, Xavier Fribbs and Lily Siekierka. 3 sisters Diane Vaiano of Greenwood, IN., Debbie (Glenn) Wiese of Phoenix, AZ., and Patty (Chris) Bolhuis of Waterloo, IA., 3 Brothers Rick (Nancy) Siekierka of La Salle, Brian Siekierka of Mendota and Terry (Patti) Siekierka of La Salle.
Bob was preceded in death by his Mother Lois and his loving dog "Bear".
Memorials may be directed to Cops for Cancer.
