Bob Snyder

Robert Wayne 'Bob' Snyder, age 84 of Spencerville, passed away peacefully at 6:08 a.m., Sunday, December 14, 2025 at Kessler Estates in Lima. He was born August 28, 1941 in Allen County, Ohio to the late Don Franklin and Mildred Irene Kline Snyder. On June 26, 1959 he married Carole Jean Bowers who passed April 12, 2017.
Bob retired as General Manager of St. Mary's Chrysler after many years of dedicated service. He was a member of Spencerville United Church of Christ. An avid fisherman, Bob was a proud member of Northwestern Ohio Field & Stream, the Spencerville American Legion Post, and the Bowersock Brothers V.F.W. Post 6772 of Spencerville.
He is survived by 2 daughters – Deborah L. (Michael) Bergdorf of Elida; Melinda K. (Tod) Bailey of Elida; a son – Robert Brett Snyder of Sarasota, Florida; 7 grandchildren; 9 great grandchildren; 4 sisters – Sharon Riffle of Delphos; Karen Buckner of Florida; Judy Gamble of Bellefontaine; Michele (Ted) Foster of Spencerville; and a brother-in-law – Bradley Bowers of Medina.
A celebration of Bob's life featuring a fish fry will be held at Northwestern Ohio Field & Stream, 11910 Kolter Road, Spencerville, Ohio at a later date. Friends and family will be invited to gather, share stories, and honor his memory.
He will be laid to rest in Spencerville Cemetery.

The family would especially like to extend their deepest gratitude to Marie Detrick, Bob's caregiver, whose compassion, patience and unwavering dedication meant more to Bob's family than words can fully express. Through her attentive care, kindness and genuine concern for his comfort and dignity, she made it possible for Bob to remain in the familiarity and peace of his own home for as long as possible.
