Bob R. White, 79, of Owensboro, died on Friday February 25, 2011 at Owensboro Medical Health System. He was born on February 5, 1932 in Sikeston, Missouri to the late Ray White and Gladys Hutchason White. Bob was a truck driver for many years, retired from Miles Farm Supply and continued to work part-time for VC's Pickup and Delivery. He was a loving husband, father, grandfather, and great-grandfather. He loved UK Basketball, reading, spending time with his family and his church family. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by two brothers, Ralph Eugene (Gene) White and Durwood White, Sr. Survivors include his wife of 60 years, Frances Parks White; one son, Alan (Donna) White of Eddyville; three daughters, Donna (Mark) Record, Sharon (Steve) Graybill, and Laurie White, all of Owensboro; six grandchildren, Christopher White, Holly (Jeff) Clark, Mandy (Aaron) Isom, Rheonna (Matt) Johnson, Sara (Alan) Bennett, and Steven Graybill; ten great-grandchildren; two sisters, Bonnie Bartlett of Cape Girardeau, MO and Lela Jo (Jack) Pankey of Dexter, MO; and numerous nieces and nephews. Services will be at 11:00a.m. on Tuesday, March 2, 2011 in the chapel of James H. Davis Funeral Home and Crematory in Owensboro. Burial will follow in Pleasant Grove Cemetery in Sorgho. Visitation will be on Monday from 2:00 until 8:00p.m. and after 10:00a.m. until the time of the service on Tuesday at James H. Davis Funeral Home and Crematory. Expressions of sympathy may be made to the Panther Creek Christian Life Center, 7146 Hwy 431, Owensboro, KY 42301 or to Hospice of Western Kentucky, 3419 Wathens Crossing, Owensboro, KY 42301.
