Bobbie Ruth Griffith

Bobbie Ruth Holland Griffith, age 88, was called home by Jesus on October 13, 2025 at her home in Buffalo Gap, Texas. An informal Celebration of Life will be held at Buffalo Gap Cemetery at 3:00 pm on October 21,2025.

Born in Corpus Christi, Texas, to Robert and Mona Holland, Bobbie devoted her life to family, faith and community. A lifelong resident of Buffalo Gap, Bobbie was a founding member of the All-Women Buffalo Gap Volunteer Fire Department, featured on NBC's Real People in the early 1980s. She volunteered at Buffalo Gap Elementary and Buffalo Gap Senior Citizens Center, and was known for her excellent storytelling and remarkable memory for details.

She is survived by her sons Mark and wife Linda of Maryland, and Robert of Buffalo Gap, Texas; As well as her sister-in-law, Janelle Holland of Tatum, Texas. She was a proud grandmother of Lindsay and her husband Andre Ponta of Maryland, Cody Griffith and his wife Carle Win of New Jersey, Sean Hoag and wife Alex, Colin Griffith and his wife Samantha of Lubbock, Texas and Miranda Garcia of Abilene, Texas. She was blessed with 10 great-grandchildren: Nora, Emmarie, Kyler, Hoxten, Kolson, Kloe, Avery, Carly, Emily and preceded in death by Delaney.
