Bobbie Jones Obituary
Bobbie, 92, of Winnsboro, Texas, passed away on February 21, 2026 in Winnsboro, Texas.
Bobbie was a devoted wife, mother and Christian. She was a member of Cartwright Baptist Church. She loved fishing, gardening, and canning, and was well known for her cooking.
Bobbie was born March 15, 1933 in Winnsboro to Thomas Lewis and Arlee Cox.
She attended Talco, Texas schools where she met her future husband, Bill Jones. They married on May 12, 1951, beginning a long life together filled with faith, love and family .
She was secretary at Farmers Co-Op, Southwest Fertilizer, Hardy's Auto Parts and finished her career as a Dietitian at Winnsboro ISD.
She was preceded in death by her parents, her brothers, Robert Lewis and Gerald Cox.
She is survived by her cherished husband, Bill Jones; daughter, Deborah Nelson and husband Randy; sons, B.D Jones, Tommy Jones and wife Diane; grandchildren, David Roberts, Heath Roberts, Joe Don Jones, Ashley Romero, April Freeman and Shane Walker. She is also survived by numerous great grandchildren, as well as great great-grandchildren.
The family would like to extend their appreciation to Heritage Hospice and Whispering Pines Nursing Home for all of their care during her declining health. In lieu of flowers, the family is asking for donations to Heritage Hospice or Harmony Cemetery.
