Bobbie Lee Macklin

Bobbie was born the fourth child of the late Ozella Bender Norris and Fela Augusta Norris, Sr. on July 14, 1926, in Sylvarena, MS. At an early age, she accepted Christ as her personal savior and was baptized at Mount Nebo Missionary Baptist. After graduating from high school, she attended Nursing School but was unable to complete her training because the school closed.

For over 55 years, she and her sister Joyce transformed many ladies into beauties by styling their hair at Queen's Coiffure's Beauty Salon. For over 79 years, Bobbie worked tirelessly for her church, New Jerusalem Church of God in Christ and Higher Calling Deliverance Temple Ministries. On the local level, she was a Sunday School teacher, a Church Missionary and Mother of the Church and on the State and National levels, she served as a member of the Jurisdictional Auxiliaries in Ministry Board, the State Field Representative for the Sunday School Department, the Executive Hospitality Committee for the Nationals Women's Department, the Business and Professional Women's Committee and held a position with COGIC Charities.

Bobbie leaves to cherish her memory and legacy, her granddaughters Latrice Mcfadgion (Carl) Latarsha Norris Bell and her grandson Robert Norris II (Angela), her sister Vickie Epting and her brother Prentiss Ray (Fannie): her caregivers and nieces Adrianne Allen and Jacquelyn Allen and her nephew Phil Wallace (Gladys) and a host of great grandchildren and one great-great granddaughter and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins , other family members and dear friends.

Bobbie was preceded in death by her daughter Bobbie Nell Norris and her son Robert Richard Norris I. Her sisters Bessie Norris, Lessye Hunter, Lynda (Jasper) and Joyce (Jesse) and her brothers Willie Norris, Elja (Catherine) Norris and Fela Augusta Norris, Jr.

Services for Ms. Bobbie will be held on Saturday, November 29, 2025 at 2:00pm in the Fireside Chapel at Memorial Park Funeral Home. Family will receive family and friends an hour prior to the service starting at 1:00pm. Burial will follow in Memorial Park Cemetery.
