Bobbie Jean Boliek Martin

Bobbie Jean Boliek Martin, 95, of Winston-Salem died Saturday, September 20, 2025 at Novant Health Forsyth Medical Center. She was born November 11, 1929, in Alexander County to the late Partee and Artie Boliek.
Bobbie lived most of her life in Hickory, N.C., and moved to Winston-Salem in 1999 to live with her daughter and son-in-law who later became her caregivers. She cared deeply for her children and grandchildren, serving as a devoted Mother and Mema. Bobbie enjoyed sleepovers with her grandchildren. She loved to sew, knit, crochet, work in the garden, and cook. She was a caregiver to her parents, and several brothers, sisters, and son. She was always available to prepare food for family, friends, neighbors and church members. She traveled with Epiphany Builders to Luther Rock, N.C.; Luther Ridge, N.C.; and Benns County Community Center, Va., to cook for the group.
Bobbie was the eighth child of nine and was raised on the family farm in Bethlehem, N.C. She left school at age 16 to work on the family farm and later obtained her GED. She was seamstress in several furniture companies in Hickory, N.C. She was a lifelong member of the Evangelical Lutheran Church of America with very strong faith. She is a current member of Epiphany Lutheran Church in Winston-Salem. She was a member of Mary Martha Circle and appreciated all the visits, cards, care, concerns and the food you provided.
Bobbie is survived by her daughter, Diane Deal (Gene); grandchildren, Michelle Frazier (Mike), Shane Huffman, Andrea Duggins (Robbie), Robbie Huffman (Michelle), Ashley Huffman; great-granddaughters, Taylor Huffman, Adia Huffman, Hailey Duggins, Emma Huffman, Elle Huffman; great-great-granddaughter, Marleigh Huffman; daughter-in-law, Linda Huffman; special nieces and nephews, Mickey, Sandra, Linda, Ronnie, Scott, Beth, Alan, and Debbie. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by four brothers; four sisters; and her two sons, Michael and Rick.
A funeral will be held at her home church, Mt. Pisgah Lutheran Church ELCA, 9379 NC Highway 127, Hickory, N.C. 28601, (Bethlehem community), on Sunday, October 5, 2025, at 2 pm, with Pastor Justin Mauney officiating. The family will receive friends following the service. Interment will be at a later date at Westlawn Gardens of Memory, Clemmons, N.C.
