Bobbie Jean McMurphy McCook

Bobbie Jean McMurphy McCook, 73, of Moultrie, passed away on Thursday, January 29, 2026.

A memorial service will be held at a later date.

Born on August 28, 1952, in Moultrie, Georgia, she was the daughter of the late James William McMurphy and Mary Louise Cox McMurphy.

Mrs. McCook cherished time spent with her family above all else. She also enjoyed antiquing, searching for hidden treasures at yard sales, and playing cards.

In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband, Willie Ray McCook; brothers, Larry Eugene McMurphy, Gary Lamar McMurphy, and Michael Allen McMurphy; sisters, Effie Irene Gibson, Wilma Jean Williams, Shelia Diane Brooks, and Carolyn Ann Gibson; and a son-in-law, Dwayne Clark.

She is survived by her daughters, Ginger Clark, and Tammy Jones (Denny Gay); brothers, James Ronnie McMurphy and wife Kathy, Harold Junior McMurphy and wife Debbie, and Leonard Craig McMurphy and wife Dana; sisters, Virginia Ann Meads and husband Joey, Betty Lou Pope and husband BB; grandchildren, Crystal Olgetree, Brandon Boyd, and Savannah Clark; great-grandchildren, Dakota Olgetree, and Kholton Boyd; and a special friend, David Jett.
