Bobbie Jean Smith

Bobbie Jean Smith, age 73, of Oklahoma City, passed away peacefully on January 7, 2026.
Bobbie was a loving and caring woman who always put others before herself, both in her personal life and throughout her career. She earned her Bachelor of Nursing degree from the University of Central Oklahoma in 1994 and proudly served as a Registered Nurse. Bobbie worked in patient care at various hospitals and in home health, where her compassion, patience, and gentle nature made a meaningful difference in the lives of many. She later continued her professional career with Blue Cross Blue Shield as a claims review analyst, where her clinical knowledge, integrity, and attention to detail were greatly valued.
Beyond her work, Bobbie had a deep love for animals of all kinds and found great joy in time spent with her family. One of her favorite traditions was gathering together for barbecues with family, lovingly known as the "Smith BBQ", where laughter, conversation, and togetherness were always present.
Generous with her love and easy to talk to, Bobbie had a way of making people feel seen, heard, and cared for. Her devotion to her family and friends was constant and unwavering.
She is survived by her loving spouse, Danny; her children, Erin and Erik; her grandchildren, Chris and Trevor; her great-grandchildren, Beau, Teague, Khaleesi, Ryle, and Keats; her siblings, Jerry and Joann; and her beloved dog, Molly.
Family meant everything to Bobbie, and her love for them was unconditional.
She will be deeply missed, but her kindness, warmth, nurturing spirit, and joyful presence will live on through all who were fortunate enough to know her.
