Bobbie L. Smith

WEST AUGUSTA – Bobbie Lee Smith of 2368 Deerfield Valley Rd., passed away January 29, 2026.

Born January 7, 1939, he was a son of the late Levi and Lula (McCray) Smith.

Mr. Smith was born near Churchville and attended Parnassus and Churchville schools. He worked in construction all his life. He enjoyed gardening and woodworking, especially building birdhouses. He was particularly fond, in recent years, of a special four-legged friend he called "Buddy."

Besides his parents he was preceded in death by his wife, Doris McLain Smith; sisters Ethel Flesher, Madeline Smith, Arbanna "Sis" Armstrong, Anna Lee Flesher, Naomi Cupp, and Mary Margaret Loan; and brothers Roscoe and William Albert Smith.

Surviving are nieces and nephews Daniel "Dick" Armstrong, Nancy Beverage, Levi Knott, Larry Knott, Kenny Knott, Donnie Knott, Roger Flesher, Rocky Flesher, Diane Enterline and Denver "Frankie" Loan; and a niece-in-law, Joyce McLain.

A graveside service will be held in Deerfield Community Cemetery at 11 a.m. on February 11, 2026, officiated by Rev. Merle Dodson.
