Rev. Bobby Hugh Aycock, 89, passed away late Tuesday evening at Kitty Askins Hospice in Goldsboro. He is survived by his wife Edith Sue White Aycock; his children; Debra Roach of Goldsboro, Rebecca Davies and husband, David of Nashville, TN, and his son, Rev. David Aycock and his wife, Annette of Brazil. Bobby is also survived by his grandchildren; Rebekah Roach, Autumn Blackwell and husband, Rodney, Diana Davies, Jaden Davies and wife, Annabelle, Breeana Webb and husband, Jonathan, Andrew Aycock, Destanie Aycock; great-grandchildren, Haven Blackwell, Melody Blackwell, Olivia Blackwell, Abigail Blackwell, Emma Webb, Noah Webb, and Ellie Kate Webb.
Bobby is also survived by a sister; Rose Hales and her husband, Gene of Goldsboro. He was preceded in death by his parents; Hugh and Debbie Cuddington Aycock; a brother, Royal Aycock; and a grandson, Jeremy Roach.
Bobby was a life long member of Faith Free Will Baptist Church in Goldsboro. He and his beloved wife served along side each other as Church planters to Brazil for 40 years. While in Brazil, Bobby served as a teacher, and also had a radio program ministry. Following their retirement, he returned to Goldsboro to continue serving at Faith as Sunday School teacher for many years.
The family will receive friends at Seymour Funeral Home on Tuesday morning, March 18, 2025 beginning at 10 am, followed by a funeral service in the chapel at 11 am. Rev. Dann Patrick and Pastor Christian Powell will officiate the service with burial following in the Evergreen Memorial Cemetery for both Rev. and Mrs. Bobby H. Aycock.
Flowers are welcome or memorial contributions may be directed to the David Aycock Brazil ministry, c/o Faith Free Will Baptist Church, Goldsboro, NC.
Arrangements have been entrusted to Seymour Funeral Home and Cremation Service.
