Bobby Baker

Funeral services for Mr. Bobby Baker, 76, will be held on Thursday, December 11, 2025, at 1 PM at the Greater Macedonia Missionary Baptist Church, 1824 Claxton Dairy Road in Dublin. Reverend E. Neal Dixon will deliver the eulogy. Interment will follow in the Williams Chapel Mission Cemetery.
Bobby Baker was born on Wednesday, February 9, 1949, Dublin, Georgia. He was the beloved son of the late Sidney and late Josephine Johnson Baker.
Bobby graduated from the B. D. Perry High School in 1967. He later went on to serve his country in the United States Army from March 1969 until March 1971. After returning home, he was employed with Mohawk Industries. Once he left Mohawk, he began a long and dedicated career at the Dublin Veterans Administration Medical Center. He started in the kitchen in April 1984 and, through hard work, he through hard work and commitment, later he transitioned into the Transportation Department. Bobby faithfully served the veterans and the staff for nearly three decades before retiring from the Carl Vinson Veterans Administration center in 2012.
Mr. Bobby Baker, 76, entered into eternal rest on Friday, December 5, 2025. He was preceded in death by his parents, and by his sister, Betty Jo Baker Waters.
He leaves to cherish his memory one son. Tshombe (Kendra) Baker of Uvalda, Georgia, one daughter, Crystal T. Martin of Atlanta, Georgia, grandchildren, C. J. Watson, Tyra Baker and Makayla Baker, all of Dublin, seven great-grandchildren of Dublin, brother-in-law, Willie T. Waters, and a host of extended family and friends who loved him dearly. Bobby will be remembered for his gentle spirit, his quiet strength, and the love he held for his family.
