Bobby Ray Brewer, known affectionately as Bob, passed away peacefully on March 30, 2026, at the Hospice House of Southern Kentucky. Born on June 8, 1946, in Harlan, KY, Bob lived a full life marked by dedication, love, and hard work.
Bob devoted a significant part of his career to General Motors, where he contributed his skills and commitment. Beyond his professional life, he was deeply cherished for his family connections and the strong bonds he maintained throughout his life.
He was married to Gracie Ellen Brewer for 54 years, a partnership that began in Chicago, IL. Their enduring marriage is a testament to the love and respect they shared over the decades.
Bob is survived by his loving wife, Gracie Ellen Brewer, and his siblings Elmer Brewer, Marie Collins, and Minnalee Hembree. He is also survived by his sons Charles Edward Brewer and Robert Wayne Brewer, along with grandchildren Hailey Nicole Newcomer, Nicholas Brewer, and Tyler Brewer. His legacy continues through two great-grandchildren, who hold a special place in the family.
Bob was preceded in death by his parents, Gertrude Houston Brewer and Charles Edward Brewer, as well as siblings Loretta Leonard, David Brewer, and Barbara Powers. He also mourned the loss of his children Clayborne Brewer, Barbara Jo Brewer, and Bobbie Jo Brewer.
Family and friends will gather to honor and remember Bob’s life at a visitation on Wednesday, April 1, 2026, from 2:00 PM to 5:00 PM and Thursday, April 2, 2026 from 2:00 PM to 5:00 PM at Cone Funeral Home, located at 1510 Campbell Lane, Bowling Green, KY 42104. The funeral service will follow on April 3, 2026, from 12:00 PM to 1:00 PM at the same location.
Bob’s life was filled with love, dedication, and the warmth of family. He will be remembered simply but fondly by all who knew him.
