Bobby served as Minister of music at the following Baptist Churches, Sardis, North Charleston First, Louisville, Ga. First, Southside, Homeland Park, and Bowersville where he not only directed choirs and organized cantatas but mentored countless musicians to use their talents for the glory of God. He worked for 25 years helping customers at Bailes Cobb who were all dear to his heart and like family.
Beyond the church walls, Bobby was a devoted husband, father, brother, and grandfather. He is survived by his wife of 53 years, Jane Bradley Carson, children Susan Hawkins (Chris) of Laurens, SC and Laura Strickland (Erik) of Hartwell, GA and his sister Carolyn Risner of Hartwell, GA.
