Bobby Keith Chamblee (Keith), 65, a retired law enforcement officer, passed away Sunday afternoon January 12, 2025 at Baptist Memorial Leake Hospital.
Visitation is 10:30-2:30 Wednesday January 15,2025 at Pearl Hill Baptist Church. Services are 2:30 at Pearl Hill Baptist Church with Bro James Hudgins, Bro Greg Waggoner, Bro Eddie Pilgrim officiating. Interment is at Pearl Hill Cemetery.
Keith was a member of Pearl Hill Baptist Church. He was presently serving as a volunteer fire fighter with the Edinburg Volunteer Fire Department that he has been with for over 30 years. Keith also served 8 years as a fulltime firefighter with the Carthage Fire Department, over 10 years with Carthage EMS as a driver and EMT, and over 30 years as a reserve deputy with the Leake County Sheriff's Office. Keith was also a member of the Leake County Firefighters Association and the MS Firefighters Association.
He was preceded in death by his father, Bobby Chamblee and a sister, Lisa Chamblee Thrash.
Survivors include his mother, Ramona; his wife Kathy; a son, Kristopher Chamblee (Katie); and a daughter Kristy Boyd all of Edinburg; 3 grandchildren, Brayleigh Boyd, Emmy Chamblee and Whitlee Chamblee.
Pallbearers are: Jimmy Ingram, Chad Smith, Ken Smith, Ike Melton, Ben Melton, Micheal Alexander, Lonzo Jones, and Scott Smith.
Honorary pallbearers are: Nick Monk, Julian Greer, Mike King, Shawn Hoffman, Derek Wyatt, Tommy Malone, James McRea, and all Leake County Fire Chiefs.
