Bobby Joe Childress, age 78, of Greenville, went to be with the Lord on April 29, 2025.
Bobby was born on December 7, 1946 to Frank and Marie Durham Childress in Six Mile, SC. He retired from Metromont Materials. He enjoyed fishing and was of the Baptist faith.
Bobby is survived by his daughters, Mary Ann Albertson (Jonathan) and Cindy Moody (Shannon); his grandchildren, Cortni Alexander (Tyler), Matthew Moody, Brady Moody, Ellen Campos (Josh), Levi Moody, and Trevor Albertson; and his great-grandchildren, Harper Wootten, Elena Alexander, and Autumn Campos.
Bobby was predeceased by his wife Mary Ellen Childress; his brothers, John Frank Childress, Jr., and Ricky Dewayne Childress; and his sister, Linda Burrell.
Bobby was miraculously saved by the grace of God before he passed and is now at the feet of Jesus.
Visitation will be held on Saturday, May 3, 2025 from 1:00-1:45 PM at Robinson Funeral Home - Downtown, Easley, SC.
A funeral service will follow the visitation at 2:00 PM in the Chapel of Robinson Funeral Home - Downtown.
Burial will take place in the Greenlawn Memorial Park.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Hospice of the Foothills at 390 Keowee School Road
