Bobby Lane Cline

Bobby Lane "Bob" Cline, son of Dearl and Pansy (Chambers) Cline, was born on February 25, 1941. He passed away peacefully on January 21, 2025.
Bob was united in marriage with Helen Morgan Johnson on June 6, 1986. Helen and Bob shared countless laughs over the years. Prior to Helen's passing, she and Bob had celebrated thirty-three years of love and memories.
Bob was an avid basketball player, he loved the sport and made many lasting friendships with his teammates in high school and college. Bob spent his professional career in Springfield school systems serving at several schools and ending his career as the Vice Principal at Hickory Hills.
Bob also found great joy in playing golf, horseback riding, watching the Bears play basketball, hunting and relaxing on his farm.
Bob is survived by step-daughter, Kathryn Matuch and her husband George; step-sons, David Johnson and his wife Christine and Joe Johnson and his wife Beth; nine grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; other relatives and many friends.
Bob deeply loved his farm, family and friends. He will be missed and fondly remembered by all who knew and loved him.
Memorial service for Bob will be held on Sunday, March 30, 2025, at 2:00 P.M., at Shadel's Colonial Chapel.
At his request, his body has been cremated under direction of Shadel's Colonial Chapel.
