Bobby James Clostio, 77, of Lake Charles passed away Sunday, November 3rd, 2024 in the comfort of his home.

Mr. Clostio was born July 20, 1947 in Abbeville, LA to Wilton J. Clostio and Oletia Dubois Clostio. He lived most of his life in Sulphur and has lived the past eleven years in Lake Charles. Mr. Clostio was a 1965 graduate of Sulphur High School and studied Special Education at McNeese State University. He served the United States Navy where he specialized in Communications Technology and Radio Operations. Following his service, he took a job in management at JC Penney. Shortly thereafter he began his career in construction building houses with his uncle. Mr. Clostio then successfully branched out and became well known and respected in the Southwest Louisiana area for his master craftsmanship in carpentry and painting and experience as a handyman. Following his retirement, he went to work in the Plumbing department at Stine's and looked forward to helping people and meeting old and new friends. Mr. Clostio was also well known for his character. He was a good man, loyal friend and loved his family fiercely, as well as, loved to have a good time. During his younger years, he spent lots of time with friends and family on his boat, often spending the night on the water to wake again on the boat. In 1996, he and his wife joined Krewe du Lac Mardi Gras Krewe of which he served as King in 1996 and remained an active member for countless krewe activities, functions and annual trips to New Orleans until 2015. He also enjoyed many travels with family and friends to Cancun, Bahamas and New York. Mr. Clostio will be remembered for his

personality, "Canaille", he liked to "stir the pot"! His greatest times were spent amongst people, making friends, being a friend, helping others and leaving memorable impressions to countless many along the way. He will be most remembered for his love and devotion to his family, his famous "Pawpaw's chocolate cake", a must have special request by his grandchildren for their special occasions and his passion for entertaining. Good times! Good food! Good friends. Laissez les bons temps rouler! He will be greatly missed.

He leaves to cherish his memory, his bride of forty-eight years, Cynthia Ann "Tee" Fontenot Clostio of Lake Charles; two daughters, Dawn Clostio Weekly of Carencro and Stephanie Clostio Jones (Lavan) of Breaux Bridge; one son, Alan Keith LaComb (Paula "Sissy") of Sulphur; eight grandchildren, Johnathan Ryan Clostio, Mekel Weekly, Jacob Weekly, Payton Weekly, André Kieth LaComb, Taylor LaComb, Allyson LaComb Isreal (Zack) and Sophia Cesarini and three great grandchildren, Chloe Angelle Clostio, Anthony Keith LaComb, Weston Allan Lacomb and one on the way. He also leaves his extended family, sisters-in-law, Linda Fontenot Landry of Lake Charles and Beverly Fontenot of Moss Bluff; brother-in-law, Carl Wayne Fontenot (Debbie) of Lake Charles; cousins, nieces, nephews and many dear friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents and two brothers, Erbey Lee Clostio and Richard Clostio.

Visitation Saturday, November 09, 2024 will be from 9:30 AM until 11:00 AM in the Chapel of Johnson Funeral Home in Lake Charles. Memorial services will begin at 11:00 AM. Ms. Linda Corbello will lead the memorial.

Memorial donations may be made to St. Jude’s Children's Research Hospital at stjude.org.
