Bobby Rex Davis, 76, of Georgetown, GA, formerly of Albany, GA, passed away peacefully surrounded by his loving family on Thursday, February 5, 2026 at Willson Hospice House. Memorial services will be held on Monday, February 9, 2026 at 2:00 PM in the chapel of Sherwood Baptist Church. Rev. Tom Pollock will officate.
Rex, our beloved brother, father, grandfather, and dear friend, passed away peacefully at the Willson Hospice House, surrounded by his loving family. Rex grew up attending Sunnyside Baptist Church, where he accepted Jesus Christ as his Savior and was baptized. His faith, his roots, and his connection to his community remained important to him throughout his life.
Rex attended Dougherty High School and later faithfully served his community as a Dougherty County Deputy Sheriff. He was a true outdoorsman who found great joy and purpose in fishing, hunting, and spending time in nature. Rex especially treasured sharing his love, knowledge and passion for the outdoors with his son, family, and friends, creating memories that will be cherished for generations.
Rex will be remembered for his kind heart, steady presence, and his unique ability to make everyone feel welcomed and valued. He was deeply loved by his family, who will forever carry his love, wisdom, and the beautiful legacy he leaves behind.
Survivors include his son, Brian Andrew Davis (Kimberly), Leesburg, GA, fiancee, Judith Ehling, Georgetown, GA, siblings, Hubert Davis, Jr. (Anne), Brunswick, GA., William Paul Davis (Trish), Albany, GA, Brenda Davis Carter (Dan), Fredericksburg, VA, Linda DuBose, Creedmore, NC, and three grandchildren, a number of nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles and his beloved dog (Daisy).
