Mr. Bobby Carroll Easterling, 90, of Hartsville, went to be with his Lord & Savior on Wednesday morning, April 5th, 2023, while at home with his family.
A native and lifelong resident of Hartsville, Mr. Easterling was a son of the late Carroll L. & Ruby Chapman Easterling. Bobby Carroll was an amazing father, grandfather, and great-grandfather, who greatly loved his family and was a role model to them all. He loved being outdoors and staying active; until recently, he walked 5 miles a day, every day. Bobby Carroll loved Gods word and ministered to a few churches throughout our area in years past. He is survived by his children: Debbie Gilbert of Hartsville, Jimbo Easterling of Hartsville, Lynn McKnight of Florence, Gene (Melinda) Easterling of Hartsville, John (Lori) Easterling of Hartsville, and Doug (Tammy) Easterling of Hartsville; grandchildren: RJ (Sarabeth) Gilbert, Laura (Kevin) Koch, Erin (Josh Tiller) Matthews, Donnie (Erin) Easterling, Justin (Wynter) Easterling, Miranda (Nick) Averill, Christi (Loren) Long, Shannon Easterling, Hannah Easterling, and D.J. Easterling; great-grandchildren: Cooper Gilbert, Jayden Thomas, Blake Koch, Sydnie Matthews, Demp Easterling, Sutton Easterling, Ren Long, Mac Long, Annabelle Easterling, Kinsley Easterling, and Maci Easterling.
He was preceded in death by his parents; wife, Barbara Ann Easterling; brothers, Billy Charles Easterling and Jack Easterling; son-in-law’s, John McKnight and Robbie Gilbert.
The family would like to extend their sincere gratitude to Dr. Powell; and also to Jordan and Shameeka of Agape Hospice for their loving care of Mr. Easterling during his time of illness.
His service will be conducted at 3:00 on Friday afternoon, April 7th, 2023, from Antioch Baptist Church. Reverend Bryant McRae, Reverend Kenny Lynch, and Mr. Mark Palmieri will officiate with burial following in the church cemetery. The family will be receiving friends one hour prior to the service at the church.
