Bobby Ray Ellington

Bobby Ray Ellington, age 81, passed away on Monday, October 31, 2022, at AHC Senior Living and Rehab in Humboldt, TN. Funeral Services for Mr. Ellington will be conducted on Wednesday, November 2, 2022, at 1:00 PM at the Walnut Hill Baptist Church in Bells, TN, with Bro. Grover Westover officiating. Burial will follow at the Walnut Hill Cemetery in Bells. A visitation will be held on Tuesday evening, November 1, 2022, from 4:00 PM – 7:00 PM at Walnut Hill Baptist Church.
Bobby was born on May 11, 1941 in Bells, TN. He was employed for 29 years with Jackson-Madison County General Hospital, as well as doing residential construction for a time. He was married to Linda Lovelace Ellington for 61 years. He was a member of Walnut Hill Baptist Church in Bells, TN.
He is survived by his wife, Linda Ellington; two sons, David Ellington (Beverly) and Danny Ellington (Hope); one brother, Robert Joe Ellington (Angie); four grandchildren, Lindsey Hayes (Shanon), Ashley Jetton (Roger), Abbey DeNote (Dylan) and John Ellington; four great-grandchildren, Ella Cate, Norah, Jack, Emmett. He was preceded in death by his parents, Robert Harris Ellington and Marjorie Lucille Oglesby Ellington and one brother, Melvin Perry "Sonny" Ellington.
Pallbearers for the service will be Shane Ellington, Jody Ellington, John Ellington, Roger Jetton, Shanon Hayes, Dylan DeNote.
The family has requested memorials be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, P.O. Box 1000, Dept. 142, Memphis, TN 38101-9908, or to Le Bonheur Children's Hospital, 50 North Dunlap St., Memphis, TN 38103. All services and arrangements are under the direction of the Bells Funeral Home in Bells, TN.
