Bobby Gray Obituary
He was born May 20, 1935, in LaHarpe, Illinois, the son of Orland and Edith (Burke) Gray. He married Patsy White on June 23, 1955, in LaHarpe, Illinois, and she survives.
He is also survived by one daughter, Jean (Phil) Kramer of Fulton, Illinois; two sons, Bryan (Karen) Gray of Jacksonville, North Carolina, and Tony Gray of Abingdon; six grandchildren; and nine great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents and one brother, Billy Gray.
Bobby graduated from LaHarpe High School. He grew up in Hancock County and later lived in Warren County, Indiana, before moving to Abingdon in 1971. He was employed as a forklift operator at the Maytag Corporation, retiring in 1996. In his free time, he enjoyed camping, trains, and being outdoors.
A graveside service will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Tuesday, December 30, 2025, at Abingdon Cemetery. Memorials may be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital or Shriners Hospitals for Children.
