Bobby Daniel Holder

Bobby Daniel Holder, 78 of Sanford passed away Saturday October 4, 2025. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 pm Friday (10/10/2025) at Swann Station Baptist Church. Burial will follow at Cameron Grove Cemetery.

Mr. Holder was born in Sanford, a son of the late Alexander Daniel Holder Sr and Georgie Hickman Holder. He was preceded in death by his daughter, Andrea Holder; siblings, Bonnie H. Quesenberry (Ezra), Lib H. Cameron, Patsy H. Smith, William “Mac” Holder (Becky), half-sister, Peggy H. Wooten, and brother-in-law, Burlon McDuffie.

Bobby was proud to be a Christian and loved serving the Lord. He was a lifelong member of Swann Station Baptist Church where he served several capacities. He was a graduate of Sanford Central High School, a Veteran of the US Army during the Vietnam era and worked many years at Whiten Roberts and later opened Piedmont Sales.

Mr. Holder is survived by his wife, Laura Mayne Holder; son in law, Brent Weaver (Jamie) and granddaughter, Carleigh Weaver; siblings, Nancy H. McDuffie, Polly H. Bouldin, Alexander Daniel “Danny” Holder Jr (Suzan), Tommy E. Holder (Tessia); brother’s-in-law Warren “Smitty” Smith, and John E. Cameron.

The family will greet friends from 1:00 until 2:00 pm Friday at the Church prior to the funeral.
