William Tyler Underwood

William Tyler Underwood, 28, of Sanford passed away Saturday February 14, 2026. Funeral services will be held at 2pm Saturday February 21st at Cool Springs Baptist Church. The family will receive friends beginning at 12pm before the service.

Tyler was a graduate of Lee County High School and attended ECU. He worked as a foreman with Roberts Brothers Site Development. Tyler was an avid fan of WVU football and basketball. He was a passionate outdoorsman whose greatest joy was found in the woods and on the water. Tyler was kindhearted, dependable, hardworking, devoted and generous. He was deeply loved by his family, friends and co-workers and had a special place in his heart for his baby sister Brooklin.

Tyler is survived by his parents, Doug and Michelle Underwood; siblings, Alex Underwood, Trey Underwood and Brooklin Underwood; maternal grandparents, Jim and Judy Hileman; paternal grandparents William Underwood (Michele), and Janet Rogers (Jim); uncle David Hileman (Yvonne); aunts Deanna Schroyer (Tim) and Casey Underwood; and cousins Ashlynn Schroyer and Adilyn Johnston

He was preceded in death by his uncle Dennis Underwood.
